Paul Barker has corrected the playlist we previously put up, for when he DJed at Neo in Chicago. The setlist now listed is the final version which you can see here, along with pictures from the night.
Song Download
Now up for download by request on the sound page is a live version of Overkill from the Detroit 1982 show. There's a pretty common live recording of this show out there in circulation, but for some reason most versions either have this song cut in the middle of left off entirely. This is the best-sounding complete version I've been able to find. As for the Led Zepplin introduction... Who knows.
Snow Black
SnowBlack.org appears to finially be up and running. This is the solo project from long-time Revolting Cock and Skatenig singer Phil Owen. In addition to being able to purchase the album (featuring Al J on a track, among others), there are many other goodies. Check out the Multimedia section for many great pics from past Ministry and Revco tours.
As previously noted on this site, Paul Barker performed at Neo - not as part of a band, but as a DJ. The theme of the night was geared more towards Wax Trax! material but that's not all he played. He did play his track Perfect Pair which is from the material he is currently working on.
The tunes he span that night are up though it is a draft version - as soon as changes are mind, we'll update them here.
Paul was originally meant to go on from midnight - 3am, but had so much fun behind the decks, that he carried on till 5am. He played a total of 60 songs.
A page dedicated to the night can be seen here. Lots of pictures from the night can be viewed over on the picture gallery for the event (Thank you to Brian McNish, Jason Ernst, and Greg Haus for the pictures).
Thank you Paul, the staff at Neo, and all the people who made it out, for making this night a memorable one! All went very well.
Ministry's "Lieslieslies" from 2006's Rio Grande Blood is nominated for Best Metal Performance. The other nominations in the Best Metal Performance category are as follows:
Ministry - Lies Lies Lies
Lamb Of God - Redneck
Mastodon - Colony Of Birdmen
Slayer - Eyes Of The Insane
Stonesour - 30/30
Sorry, but the Song Of The Week is taking a vacation this week. If you really need a ministry fix, check out the Interview page, which is now fully stocked with new interviews. Also of note is the Tour page, now updated with the cancelled 2000 Ozzfest dates and Al's performance with Johnny Depp's group, P.
It's official: Paul Barker will be performing a DJ Set in Chicago, IL, on December 9th. This will happen at Neo (2350 N. Clark St.).
I will be opening the night and Paul will then take over - while his DJ Set will be geared more towards Wax Trax! material, I am sure he will spin a good mix. I would like to thank Paul for participating in this.
Also, thanks to Blabbermouth.net for posting the information on their site.
